Glass
The photograph seen through a pane cast from itself — real refraction, not a warp.
Controls
- relief
- How bumpy the glass is. At zero it is flat and you see the picture unchanged; higher, every bump sends the ray its own way
- mesh
- How many bumps across the sheet. A fine mesh is a ribbed texture, a coarse one is the swirl of a bottle bottom
- ior
- How hard the glass bends a ray. One is as if there were no glass at all, 1.5 is heavy crystal. A physical number, not a strength
- thickness
- How thick the sheet is. The same slope on the surface pushes the ray further the thicker the glass
- frost
- How milky the glass is. At zero the picture behind it stays sharp; higher, it dissolves with distance
- light
- Where the light comes from, which decides where the highlights sit on the sides of the bumps
- tilt
- How steeply you look at the sheet. Straight on, you look right through it
- turn
- A number from -180 to 180, 0 by default.
