Kinetic type
Your word, letter by letter: each glyph arrives on its own beat, alive on video.
Controls
- text
- The word that is set. The one thing here a person invents
- size
- A number from 0.04 to 0.6, 0.18 by default.
- motion
- Four different arrivals: from below, out of the plane, out of a point, or a wave — the only one that never finishes
- phase
- How far the movement has got. Zero is before the letters arrive, one is all of them in place
- speed
- How fast the phase runs on video. At zero the movement holds still and only the knob moves it
- stagger
- How much later each letter starts, which is what makes the setting kinetic. At zero the whole word moves as one picture
- fill
- Photo makes the word a window into the picture; ink sets it in one colour. Two answers to what matters here
- ink
- A colour, #101418 by default.
- paper
- A colour, #f4f1e8 by default.
- centre x
- A number from 0 to 1, 0.5 by default.
- centre y
- A number from 0 to 1, 0.5 by default.
- weight
- A number from 100 to 900, 700 by default.
