Light leak
Light past the lens from the frame edge; the picture takes no part.
Controls
- angle
- The angle the light got in at. A gap in the body need not line up with an edge of the frame
- reach
- How deep into the frame the light went, as a share of it — so it covers the same part of the picture at any size
- streaks
- How uneven the leak is. At zero it is a smooth gradient, which is a lamp in a dark room rather than a gap in a camera
- band
- Width of one streak. Narrow bands read as light through a seam, wide ones as a single wash
- tint
- Colour of the leak. Warm by default: daylight reaches the emulsion through the orange base of the film
- intensity
- A number from 0 to 2, 0.9 by default.
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
