Matrix rain
Falling columns of glyphs — motion shown as a trail, not as time.
Controls
- cell
- Type size, which is also the column width. The rain lives in the number of streams, not the size of a glyph
- trail
- Length of a stream in characters. At one only the heads are left — bright dots with no sense of direction
- density
- What share of the columns are running. Not every column is taken, and that is what makes it read as rain rather than hatching
- follow
- How much the picture commands the rain. At zero the rain ignores it; at one the streams die out where the frame is dark
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
- ink
- A colour, #38d15a by default.
- head
- A colour, #dcffe4 by default.
- paper
- A colour, #04070a by default.
