Newsprint
Cheap newsprint paper and the coarse screen it has to carry.
Controls
- cell
- Screen pitch in source pixels. Newsprint is coarse: the dot is meant to be seen
- angle
- Turns the screen. At 45° the rows of dots are hardest to notice
- gain
- Dot gain — the ink spreading into the paper. It is what makes newsprint newsprint: midtones go muddy while black and white stay put
- paper
- A colour, #d8d4c8 by default.
- ink
- A colour, #2a2622 by default.
- fiber
- How uneven the paper is. It makes the gain vary from place to place, so the spread is not the same across the sheet
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
