Edges
Sketch
A pencil sketch: contour and hatching drawn by an unsteady hand.
Controls
- pitch
- Distance between pencil strokes in source pixels. Wide strokes read as a drawing, tight ones as tone
- angle
- A number from 0 to 180, 45 by default.
- wobble
- How far a stroke wanders off the straight. At zero it becomes a machine grid, which is what a sketch is not
- shading
- How much of the tone is carried by hatching. At zero only the outline is left; at full a second pass crosses the first in the shadows
- outline
- Strength of the contour, kept apart from shading on purpose: dimming the shadows should not erase the shape of the thing
- softness
- The hardness of the pencil: small is a thin dry line, large a wide crumbly one
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
- graphite
- A colour, #2b2a28 by default.
- paper
- A colour, #efe9dc by default.
