Neon
A glowing tube along the contour, lit by the colour that lies under it.
Controls
- threshold
- How strong an edge has to be before a tube lights along it
- softness
- The band over which a tube comes up from nothing to full. At zero the line breaks up on gentle edges
- purity
- Drives the contour colour to the brightest version of the hue it already had. Pale paint is the same paint, watered down
- hue shift
- Turns the whole sign around the colour wheel. A red object at half a turn glows cyan
- glow
- Radius of the halo in output pixels. The tube itself is unaffected
- intensity
- Strength of the halo only. The core of the tube always burns at full, so dimming the glow never puts the sign out
- keep
- How much of the picture stays under the sign. At zero it is bare tubes on dark
- paper
- A colour, #06060a by default.
