Posterize HSL
Posterisation around the colour wheel, not down the tonal ramp.
Controls
- levels
- Steps of lightness. Hue is not touched, so a colour keeps its identity and only changes floor
- hues
- How many spokes the colour wheel is cut into. This is what keeps teal from drifting into blue and green, as plain posterize does
- chroma
- Steps of saturation. Two means grey or coloured with nothing between, which is how a poster is printed
- offset
- Turns the wheel before the hues snap to it. The same six spokes, moved half a step, give a different palette from the same picture
