Color
Selective color
Edits one colour range and shows you exactly what it selected.
Controls
- target
- The colour to work on, picked by eye from the frame rather than by degrees on a wheel
- range
- How wide a band of hue is taken. Past half the wheel there is nothing left to select — everything is in
- softness
- Softness of the band edge. At zero a line appears across smooth colour transitions that was never in the frame
- min color
- How colourful a pixel must be to be selected. Grey has no hue, and editing it would just paint the noise in the shadows
- hue shift
- Turns the hue of everything selected. Small moves are what makes grass go golden without touching the sky
- saturation
- A number from 0 to 2, 1.3 by default.
- lightness
- A number from 0.4 to 1.6, 1 by default.
- show selection
- Paints the selection white and everything else black. Without it a narrow band cannot be aimed — the edit alone is too faint to judge
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
