Tubes
Flow lines with a body: wires that cross over each other and catch the light.
Controls
- along
- Edges send the tubes around the shapes; slope sends them across, following the light
- lines
- How many tubes. Far fewer than flat lines can take: a tube has thickness and shadow, and hundreds of them merge into one lump
- length
- The longest a tube may run before it stops
- threshold
- How strong an edge has to be before a tube starts there
- radius
- How thick a tube is, as a share of the frame width — it lives in the scene, not on the canvas
- rise
- How far brightness lifts a tube off the plane. At zero it is a flat drawing seen at an angle; higher, the wire follows the relief
- tilt
- A number from 10 to 89, 62 by default.
- turn
- A number from -180 to 180, 0 by default.
- light
- A number from -180 to 180, -50 by default.
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
