Glitch
Dropout
Dropped lines and blocks, with three ways of filling the gap.
Controls
- lines
- Share of rows that come through spoiled. A dropout is always full width — the head lost the whole line
- thickness
- How many rows a dropout covers. One is a digital glitch, several in a row is mechanical damage to the tape
- fill
- What replaces the lost row: the last good one held, black, or noise. Different machines lose it differently
- blocks
- The other kind of loss, the digital one: a square of data never arrived
- block size
- A number from 4 to 48, 16 by default.
- contrast
- A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
