Ghosting

A doubled signal — fading echo, smeared and drained of colour.

Ghosting: a glitch effect on the built-in sample photograph. Computed on your machine right now.

Controls

delay
How far behind the reflected signal arrives. Positive puts the ghost to the right of the original, negative to the left
strength
How strong the reflection is against the direct signal
echoes
How many times the signal bounced. Each echo is weaker than the last, which is what real multipath looks like
smear
Softens the ghost sideways. A reflection arrives as a spread of paths, not one ray, so it is blurrier than the original
desaturate
How much colour the echo loses. Colour suffers from multipath more than brightness does, so ghosts come back pale
contrast
A number from -1 to 1, 0 by default.
